Join our August Luncheon Featuring the Governor’s Office of Business & Economic Development

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, August 19, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, when the Santa Cruz Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes Gabrielle Stevenson, Associate Deputy Director for Regional Business Development at the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), for our August Government Affairs Luncheon at Roaring Camp Railroads.

This is a rare chance to hear directly from a state leader who works at the intersection of business growth and public policy. Stevenson's team helps companies of every size tap into state resources, cut through permitting and regulatory red tape, and connect with programs designed to fuel innovation and job creation. If you have ever wondered how to access state-level support for your business or organization, this luncheon is built for you.

Stevenson brings a wide-ranging background to the table. Since joining state service in 2019, she has worked with IBank, supported the State Small Business Credit Initiative and green financing programs at the State Treasurer's Office, and spent time on GO-Biz's Energy Unit before landing on the CalBIS team. Her career path also includes stints in private-sector marketing and communications, work with organizations like Harley-Davidson and United Way, and an early career as a sportswriter and motorsports media relations professional. It is a background that spans storytelling, strategy, and public service, all of which she brings to the conversation about how GO-Biz can work for our local business community.

Whether you run a small business, lead a nonprofit, are building a startup, or simply care about the economic health of Santa Cruz County, this luncheon offers practical insights you can put to use right away. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about specific state programs, and connect with fellow business and community leaders over lunch.

Reserve your seat today and join us for an informative conversation about the future of business in California, and the resources available to help your business thrive. Click here to register.
