The mission and goal of the Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce is to promote economic vitality and prosperity for our members and the greater Santa Cruz County community. We value a healthy and productive economic community. As a business organization, we are responsible for ensuring the community's economic resources are preserved and well utilized. To accomplish our mission and goals, we focus on our members — to influence, engage and thrive where each member shares the value of being a part of a business organization with over 400 members. Partnerships and collaboration are hallmarks of the Chamber. The Santa Cruz County Chamber has members from a full range of professions, industries, and non-profit organizations, all committed to improving our local economy and community. The Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce is a community within a larger community. We work hard to help businesses and their employers to create, sustain and steward the economic environment of Santa Cruz County. The Chamber community creates strength, resiliency, and a sense of belonging for member businesses and their employees. It is a work-in-process that is modified to respond to local, state and national trends and in many instances natural or man-made disasters beyond our control. In each instance, the Chamber Board and our members act as catalysts for change. Becoming a member of the Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce provides opportunities to give back to the community, to be “in the know” about people and issues that impact our community, and to raise your company’s visibility and credibility in Santa Cruz County. Since 1889, the Santa Cruz County Chamber has been and will continue to be a voice for the business community. The Chamber must be flexible and adaptable to a changing world. During the year, the Chamber and our members host nearly 100 events that provide networking opportunities, educational forums and workshops to listen and learn about policies, projects and programs that impact our Central Coast. We look to find creative ways to bring people together for the common good. These events can be small business after-hours and ribbon cutting programs to recognize a new member or company milestone. As an example, last week the Chamber in partnership with Hotel Paradox celebrated the new Grand Reveal of the hotel’s restaurant & bar as a community meeting place for visitors and the local community. Thursday’s evening event drew more than 300+ community members to enjoy the “new look and amazing feel” of the hotel. We were honored to have our Mayor and four members of the Santa Cruz City Council join us in this celebration.
