In just a couple of weeks registered voters in Santa Cruz County will receive the June 7, 2022 election ballot. It will be filled with election information on the candidates and initiatives on the ballot. The outcome of the vote will have an impact on our region. We are hosting a candidates forum on May 12. The Santa Cruz County Chamber in partnership with the Santa Cruz County Business Council, the Downtown Association Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Works will host a Candidate Forum on May 12, 2022, at the Hotel Paradox. The forum is free. The forum will be divided into two panel conversations moderated by Jody Biehl from Lookout Santa Cruz. We will first pose questions to our 3rd District County Board of Supervisor candidates on issues of importance specific to Santa Cruz County. After a short break, we will then hear from our California 28th Assembly District candidates on issues impacting the greater Santa Cruz and Santa Clara County region that will be hotly debated in the state capitol. This unique forum will allow attendees to hear directly from these candidates on issues critical to our community and learn each candidates’ priorities if elected. The moderator will ask each candidate to provide open and closing remarks between a set of prepared questions and to respond to written questions from the audience.
