Our Speakers

Teresa Thuruthiyil is Head of Investor Relations at Joby Aviation, where she leads engagement with the financial community as Joby pioneers the future of flight. With a career spanning both public and private companies, Teresa brings deep expertise in investor relations, finance, strategy, and corporate communications. Throughout her career, she has helped companies navigate periods of rapid growth and transformation while building strong partnerships with the capital markets to support long-term value creation.

Claire Boland is the Environmental Planning and Sustainability Lead at Joby Aviation, where she oversees environmental permitting for the company's facilities and vertiport infrastructure, and leads programs to measure and reduce the climate impact of Joby's operations and electric air taxi aircraft. With over 15 years of experience spanning climate strategy, renewable energy, life cycle assessment, and sustainable sourcing, Claire has a track record of scaling sustainability and innovation at major corporations — including PVH Corp. and PepsiCo. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Sustainable Systems from the University of Michigan.

Delphine Turpin is an aerospace materials and processes leader with over 25 years of experience in composite engineering, manufacturing technologies, and certification. She is currently the Lead of Materials and Process Engineering at Joby Aviation, where she provides technical leadership in material systems, industrialization, and the transition to certified, high-rate composite manufacturing. Her career spans senior technical and leadership roles at Archer Aviation, General Atomics, UTC Aerospace Systems, and Hexcel, bridging advanced R&D with production-ready aerospace solutions.

Juliane Farrand is Chief People Officer at Joby Aviation, where she leads the company's global People organization, covering talent acquisition, talent development and analytics, total rewards, and employee relations and compliance. With over 25 years of experience in finance, operations, and HR, Juliane has worked across large companies, startups, and as an independent consultant, spanning roles on the East Coast, in Silicon Valley, and internationally. She joined Joby over nine years ago, leading both Finance and People functions, and as the company grew from 50 to over 2,500 employees globally, she has focused exclusively on People for the past five years. She holds a Bachelor's in Finance with a minor in Spanish from Boston College and a Master's in International Relations from Boston University.

Kendall Ronzano is a Flight Test Support Project Engineer at Joby Aviation. Wearing many hats, she works closely with flight test and on special projects for the Integrated Aircraft Team (IAT) handling issue reporting across the fleet - stepping in whenever something affects safety or operations to identify the problem, its severity, root cause, and both immediate and long-term fixes. Kendall studied Mechanical Engineering at Dartmouth College, where she was the Cook Engineering Design Center Fellow and a featured speaker for Dartmouth's global Call to Lead campaign, which raised over a billion dollars. She holds a patent for an Omnidirectional Bullet Detection System. A former Division 1 athlete in volleyball and nationally ranked rugby, Kendall has also coached high school varsity volleyball for over a decade, earning back-to-back Coach of the Year honors and leading her boys team to the state tournament the past two years.

Kristen Brown, Santa Cruz Area Chamber Executive Director, brings more than 14 years of experience serving the Santa Cruz County community as a congressional aide, government relations specialist, council member, mayor, nonprofit board member, and volunteer. She served eight years on the Capitola City Council, including two terms as Mayor, and held leadership roles with the Regional Transportation Commission, METRO Transit District, Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments, and League of California Cities. In 2018, she received the Santa Cruz County Women’s Commission Trailblazer Award, and in 2024 was named a Silicon Valley Business Journal “40 Under 40.” Kristen holds degrees from CSU Monterey Bay and CSU Northridge.

Gabrielle Stevenson is the Associate Deputy Director for the Regional Business Development team for the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development’s CalBIS team. Stevenson first joined State service with IBank in 2019 and then spent three years with the State Treasurer’s Office supporting the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), green financing programs and supervising the Development teams at the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee. Upon returning to GO-Biz, Stevenson spent two years on the Energy Unit, before joining CalBIS. Stevenson has worked on brand launches, national campaigns and niche marketing efforts to increase visibility, awareness, sales and more in both the private and public sectors. Highly adept at managing people and programs, developing communications, marketing and other strategic plans, Stevenson has worked with major organizations such as Harley- Davidson as well as nonprofits including United Way. Stevenson started out as a sportswriter for Bay Area newspapers before working in media relations and communications in motorsports prior to taking on sports facilities management roles in Texas and California.
