Join this virtual Q&A Session with Forbes Ellis, Director of Volunteer Services at Hospice of Santa Cruz County. Volunteer Visitors provide companionship to hospice patients in their homes or in the residential care facilities where they reside. As a willing listener, a hand holder, and supportive presence, these special volunteers are vital members of the hospice team. Volunteer Visitors may also provide caregivers with much needed respite. Other duties include simple snack preparation, running errands, and other practical tasks.

A Death Café is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is not a grief support group or counseling session, just some folks getting together to drink tea and talk about death. The Death Café movement includes events all over the world.
