PopUp Picnics in the Park return to Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park for the fourth summer in a row, taking place Thursdays from June 13 through August 15 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. (except for July 4). Take a break to enjoy tacos on the terrazza, with food by Taquitos Gabriel available for purchase. The full menu includes tacos, plates, burritos, quesadillas and drinks with occasional specials, such as mole. Prices range from $2 to $10, and Taquitos Gabriel will donate a portion of their proceeds back to Friends of Santa Cruz State Park. Greg Lukina - David Lyng Real Estate

Greg joined David Lyng Real Estate in 2013 after working at Cahill Contractors, Inc. out of San Francisco where he held the position of Senior Project Manager. His last project at Cahill was the construction of a $31.5 million, 120-unit apartment project in the Transbay Redevelopment District in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Prior to starting at Cahill, Greg spent time as an engineer at Treadwell & Rollo, Inc., a San Francisco based geotechnical and environmental engineering firm. He holds an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering from the UC Berkeley. Greg also earned his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the UC Berkeley.

Greg currently volunteers his time as a Director for the Santa Cruz County Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Santa Cruz County. In addition, Greg started the United Way's Emerging Leaders Circle, which is focused on engaging the future leaders of Santa Cruz County with the local community. Outside of work Greg enjoys golfing, hiking, traveling and spending time with wife, Morgan, and their two sons.

Volunteer and make a difference in the San Lorenzo River ecosystem! Every second Saturday of the month you can join the Coastal Watershed Council in improving habitat conditions along the lower San Lorenzo River. During these River Health Days, we will be planting and watering native seedlings, as well as removing invasive plants along the river to improve biodiversity and habitat complexity. Gloves, tools and light refreshments provided. We recommend that all volunteers dress in comfortable gardening clothes, include long pants, socks and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Bring layers, sun protection and a reusable water bottle. All ages and abilities welcome. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

On August 24th, mural artist Dan Velasquez will lead Felker Street neighbors and friends in painting a new mural that runs along the sidewalk from the Santa Cruz Riverwalk to the Felker Street storm drain. This art piece will celebrate Felker Street, the river neighbors who make this community great and our San Lorenzo River. Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo, California 18th Congressional District
Like the Silicon Valley region she represents, Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo exemplifies innovation. She’s creative, productive, a problem solver, and a consensus builder. For over two decades in Congress, Rep. Eshoo has defended consumers, promoted American competitiveness and innovation, fought for access to health care for families and children, protected the environment, and encouraged development of clean energy technology.

Anna G. Eshoo was first sworn in as a Member of the United States House of Representatives in January 1993, after serving on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors for 10 years. She has served on the powerful House Energy and Commerce Committee since 1995, and she was the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology for six years, the first woman in the history of the Subcommittee to serve in a leadership role. On January 15, 2019, the Democratic Members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee voted to elect Congresswoman Eshoo as the first woman ever to serve as Chair of the Health Subcommittee.

Rep. Eshoo was born in New Britain, Connecticut, of Assyrian and Armenian heritage. She is the proud mother of two children, Karen and Paul. Eshoo is a graduate of Cañada College and the CORO Foundation and was awarded an Honorary Degree by Menlo College.
