He is a Senior Partner Emeritus of McKinsey &amp;amp; Company and a Lecturer on Inequality at the Stanford Business School.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:14px;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif;"&gt;He founded McKinsey&amp;rsquo;s U.S. state and local public sector consulting practice. He also oversaw their knowledge development, Chairing the McKinsey Global Institute and the Firm&amp;#39;s communications, including the McKinsey Quarterly. He served for a decade on the McKinsey Shareholder Council (its Board of Directors). He retired in from McKinsey in 2014.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Gloves, tools and light refreshments provided. We recommend that all volunteers dress in comfortable gardening clothes, include long pants, socks and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Bring layers, sun protection and a reusable water bottle.

All ages and abilities welcome. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

&lt;p&gt;In celebration of our participation in Santa Cruz Gives, we will be hosting Bedtime Stories for Shelter Pets &lt;strong&gt;EVERY Saturday through December 28th&lt;/strong&gt;! Read the Shelter pets a bedtime story at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter! Wear your pajamas, bring your favorite book, and come to the Shelter to relax with the pets. Sit outside the kennels with the adoptable dogs, cats, or rabbits and tuck them in for the night! *There is space for about 30 people/children to sit at kennels and read. People may need to take turns and this program will be first come first served based on the short time frame and limited space! You may arrive at 5:30pm to get checked in and get a spot! Feel free to bring a blanket or pillow to sit on!*&lt;/p&gt;
