Dan Pyne is the Co chair of Hopkins & Carley’s Employment & Labor Law Practice and served as the firm’s Deputy Managing Shareholder for ten years. Dan’s clients include businesses and executives in the technology, manufacturing, professional services, hospitality and agriculture industries, as well as non-profit organizations. He has served as lead counsel for his clients in both state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Dan advises and represents employers in a wide variety of matters, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour matters, leaves of absence, unfair competition and employee mobility (covenants not to compete and not to solicit), development and implementation of employment policies and procedures, and avoidance of litigation.

Karen Reinhold is the Co chair of Hopkins & Carley’s Employment Law Practice. Karen primarily represents employers and executives on matters related to the employment relationship. Karen provides advice and counsel, and also serves as lead counsel in litigation on a broad range of employment issues. Karen has successfully tried many cases to jury verdict in state and federal court or to successful conclusion in arbitration. The first presentation in the series covers Know your Rights in regards to Immigration Law. We will discuss Immigration Law fundamental principles, such as: ways to become a U.S. citizen, main categories of Photo of Jeralineimmigrant, ways to get a green card, the process of naturalization, and the Do’s and Don’ts of Immigration Law. Most importantly, we will discuss the truths and myths about current Immigration Law and Policies. Presented by Jeraline Singh Edwards, Esq. Attorney at Law. Born in the Fiji Islands, Jeraline Singh Edwards immigrated with her family to the United States in 1987. In 2004, Jeraline was deployed with the 250th Military Intelligence Battalion to Camp Victory, Baghdad, Iraq as a Non-commissioned Officer (NCO) Paralegal Specialist. Jeraline opened her Law Practice in December of 2013. Jeraline is currently a Professor at Monterey College of Law teaching Immigration Law Clinic, she is a Seaside Rotary Club Board member, Del Monte Manor Board Member and a member of Monterey County and Santa Cruz Bar Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association.

The California Highway Patrol is offering a traffic safety program for seniors. The Age Well, Drive Smart Program is designed to provide mature drivers with the keys to driving safer and driving longer. Topics will include: How to tune up driving skills, refreshing knowledge of the rules of the road, learning about normal, age related physical changes and how to adjust them, when it may be time to limit or stop driving.
