The General Plan, to be considered this spring by the City Council, is often described as the blueprint for the City. While this is true, it is a blueprint that is not easily or cheaply modified. But, done well, it can be a boon to businesses, developers, and the economic community.
On March 22, Michelle King, Senior Planner and project manager of the City's 2030 General Plan will talk about the aspects of the plan most important to businesses, commercial properties owners, and the business community. Of particular interest are changes in the densities along the City's principal business corridors. Michelle will also highlight key pieces of the housing element and economic development.
We will also consider how the opportunities suggested by the plan might be implemented and what can be done to encourage the investment that they require.
Join us for an overview and an opportunity to ask questions before final action on the plan is taken.
