On October 13, 2011, Cruzin’ Courses will be leading its sixth annual progressive dinner throughout Downtown Santa Cruz. Cruzin’ Courses is an annual celebration of women socializing together in Downtown Santa Cruz. At its core is a strong commitment to the city itself, promoting the wonderful dining, shopping and arts available.
From 4:00 to 9:30pm, a group of 65 women will stroll to five different venues, enjoying some of the finest dining Santa Cruz has to offer, as well as raising money for select charitable organizations.
This year, donations will be made to the Museum of Art and History, WomenCare, and the annual Women-In-Business scholarship fund through the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce, which assists young women in pursuit of further education.
"We are happy to be a part of the solution; to celebrate and promote business in our beautiful garden mall and to promote POSITIVE CHANGE. A positive experience downtown is key to encouraging return visits," says Cathy Schlumbrecht, founder of the event. "The committee’s goal was to step the event up to be a Five-Star experience with an element of surprise around every corner. We have achieved our goal and look forward to having you cruise with us!"
