Event Description:
On October 2, 2011, Stephen Beaumier, Chef de Cuisine at Quince Restaurant (San Francisco), will create a farm-to-table dining experience at Love Apple Farms (Santa Cruz Mountains) as a fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity’s newest affordable housing development in Scotts Valley. Love Apple Farms, the premier biodynamic farm and education center recently featured in Bon Appetit magazine, is the exclusive farm partner to Los Gatos’ Manresa Restaurant and site for an impressive roster of gardening, cooking, and homesteading workshops each year. This is an exclusive opportunity to experience the talent of Chef Beaumier and visit the magnificent farm, which is generally not open to the public. Diners will be greeted at the farm with locally sourced beverages and appetizers before embarking on a farm tour led by Love Apple matriarch, Cynthia Sandberg, and her talented apprentices. An al fresco dinner will follow at communal tables set among the vegetable gardens. Chef Beaumier and his team from Quince will be joined by Love Apple Farm’s resident chef to present a sumptuous meal highlighting fresh local ingredients. No detail will go unnoticed while Katy Oursler, local farm dinner creator, orchestrates an evening designed to bring the flavor and senses of the farm-to-table dining experience to you.
