Event Description: On Friday, March 2 from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Cocoanut Grove in Santa Cruz, experts from the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center will present at the 20th anniversary Jon E. Nadherny/Calciano Memorial Youth Symposium, which each year addresses mental health issues affecting our youth. Cutting-edge research will be examined on the varied connections between positive psychology and mental health. Presenters will also discuss prosocial strategies such as resilience, mindfulness, optimism, and compassion—and how these factors facilitate healthier states of being by combating stress and trauma.
