Event Description: The Friends of the Aptos Library hosts a film series as part of Our Community Reads, their program designed to bring members of the Santa Cruz County community together around one book. Join us for this screening of Blazing Saddles, a 1974 satirical western comedy by Mel Brooks. Film expert and educator Mark Hull will introduce the film. Mark became interested in film during his time growing up in Los Angeles while his father was a bit actor, stuntman, and “stand-in”. His connection to this masterpiece by Mel Brooks will surprise you! During his 21 years at Aptos High, Mark developed a Fine Arts elective in Film Appreciation. Popcorn provided.
