As your advocates and sources of local business information the Santa Cruz Area Chamber, the Santa Cruz County Business Council, and the Santa Cruz Downtown Association have collaborated to create a county-wide survey of business conditions. We will use your answers to advocate for shared interests. And, we will consolidate these answers to inform you about the conditions and perceptions of our business community.
The Business Conditions 2011 Survey was designed to help local businesses compare their expectations and strategies and develop their individual tactics. It will also help the Chamber, the RDA, and other business support organizations focus their efforts on the areas their constituents are emphasizing.
The survey consolidates many of the questions asked in two 2010 surveys initiated by the Chamber. It looks at 2010 business performance, expectations for the next 12 months, and the issues that are important to you as a business owner, manager, or principal.

We’ll analyze the responses and present them at the membership luncheon on April 14. We’ll also invite five industry-group leaders to give brief presentations of their vision for the next 18 months at the luncheon. For those who cannot attend, we’ll post the survey results on the Chamber Website.
