Event Description: The collateral consequences of criminal convictions can often create significant barriers to employment, housing, education, and public benefits, making it difficult if not impossible to start fresh after a conviction. Prop. 47 is the largest opportunity in U.S. history for people to change certain, low-level, non-violent past felony convictions on their records. As many as 1 million Californians may be eligible. Start the process to reduce your low-level felony to a misdemeanor, consider attending the clinic to obtain free legal advice and referral information. To insure a free appointment call the Watsonville Law Center at (831) 722- 2845. If Possible, please BRING A COPY of your CRIMINAL CASE RECORD. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come first served basis, if possible. Get started on a new more stable future. A partnership of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries, the Santa Cruz Public Defenders Office and the Watsonville Law Center.
