Event Description: The City of Santa Cruz welcomes the public to celebrate the official open of San Lorenzo River Parkway Phase II Project on Friday, Jan. 22, at 5:15 p.m. with California Secretary for Natural Resources John Laird, Mayor Cynthia Matthews, City officials and community members. Completed project components include energy efficient levee pathway lighting, a seating area and fitness station along the west levee between Laurel Street Extension and the Water Street Bridge. The ceremony site is the San Lorenzo River Levee next to Warriors Stadium and adjacent to Laurel Street Extension.
