Come Soak up the Happy! SpongeBob is coming to town!

Come meet SpongeBob Squarepants at a grand opening celebration of Comcast’s newest Xfinity store in Santa Cruz at the Gateway Plaza on River Street.

The free event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony along with clowns, a money machine, hot dogs and prizes that include a Toshiba tablet giveaway. The event will include appearances by Don Lane, Mayor of Santa Cruz.

Comcast will also present a $2,500 check to a local non-profit organization in Santa Cruz. 

Designed around the customer experience, the new retail store allows consumers to be more interactive with Xfinity’s products, including: the X1 entertainment operating system, which brings TV and Internet together to deliver the simplest, fastest and most complete way to access all of your entertainment on all your screens, and the X1 DVR with cloud technology, which allows customers to watch their recordings in the home and out-of-the-home on any IP-enabled device.
