The Veterans Resource Centers of America (VRC) is a not for profit organization that is proud to announce an upcoming event celebrating their new grant year at their current location, 1658 Soquel Drive, Santa Cruz. This fun event will provide the community more information about current efforts to end homelessness for veterans of the United States Military’s Armed Forces in Santa Cruz County. The Santa Cruz Veterans Resource Center is creating more accessibility for veterans in Santa Cruz County who are in need of a wide range of programs to address their unique needs. Come join us for the Grand Opening Ceremony Friday, October 24th starting at 5:00pm and an open house following the ceremony. There will be fun activities, music, notable guests, lavish hors d'oeuvres and an opportunity to learn more about how the Veterans Resource Centers of America wants to end veteran homelessness in Santa Cruz County. There will also be a raffle and silent auction during the event as one facet of the Fundraising efforts. The Veteran's Resource Center will be asking for donations so they can help as many veterans as possible with their services. Guests include: Sam Farr, U.S. Representative, and Alexia Robinson, Actress, Singer Lori Rivera, Mayor Lynn Robinson, Mike Termini, Capitola City Council. & DJ Jack of Music Now! VRC provides supportive services to very low-income Veteran families living in or transitioning to permanent housing through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) grant. VRC provides eligible Veteran families with outreach, case management, and assistance in obtaining Veteran Administration (VA) and other mainstream benefits that promote housing stability and community integration.
