Event Description: Join us for a day of mole, mariachis & much, much more at the second annual Mole & Mariachi Festival at Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park. Enjoy great local food, wine and beer, crafts and fun for kids of all ages. Vote for your favorite mole prepared for you by local chefs. Admission is free; mole tasting kits are $10 Mole is a traditional Mexican sauce, sometimes made using chocolate. Ride the free trolley to the festival — just park downtown and catch the shuttle. Bike valet service also is available at the event. The festival is a benefit for Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks in support of Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park.
