Cancer diagnoses in 2001 and 2008 didn’t get Heidi Boynton down. In fact, it got her up and running. And as co-Founder of the Mini Mermaid Running Club, Heidi has discovered that the finish line is just the beginning in life. “Mini Mermaids is an after-school program,” says Heidi’s on the Mini Mermaids video (http://vimeo.com/83602331). “It’s all about empowerment of girls; it’s all about healthy lifestyle; and it’s all about what you’re capable of doing as a women, as a girl.” Come hear this Dynamo, who has competed in 25 triathlons, multiple marathons and iron man distance triathlons, talk about her work bringing self-esteem and enlightenment to girls and young women through Mini Mermaids. We think you will find that there is plenty for us to learn from Heidi about what we’re “capable of doing as women . . .” Join us on at the Coconut Grove on March 13th at 11:15 a.m. for networking. Lunch begins at 11:30 sharp. Heidi’s talk will begin at noon.
