Fifteen Santa Cruz community organizations are co-sponsoring a public forum to educate community members about Covered California and the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), including Medi-Cal. The forum will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Santa Cruz Police Department Community Room, 155 Center Street. This forum, free and open to the public, will include an overview of health insurance options provided by Covered California, as well as community resources, enrollment assistance, and a Q&A session. Spanish translation will be available. “We know that there are many populations in Santa Cruz County who do not currently have health insurance, or adequate coverage,” said Michelle Williams, Executive Director of Arts Council Santa Cruz County. “The Arts Council is co-sponsoring this forum to help make this information available to community members from all walks of life.
