As a small business owner, you may have questions about the new insurance coverage rules and options. California is developing a marketplace specifically designed for small businesses with one to 50 eligible employees. Join us for an informational workshop on what this means for you and your employees.

The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and local small business advocates will present a small business forum featuring Covered California’s Director of the Small Business Health Options Exchange (SHOP).

Speakers include:

• Dr. Laurel Jones, new President of Cabrillo College
• State Senator Bill Monning on the background on the Legislature’s role in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act
• Michael Lujan, the Director of the California State Health Benefit Exchange, known as Covered California, who will provide an overview about how the federal Affordable Care Act will impact California’s small businesses.

A question and answer period will follow the presentations.
