Join Grind Out Hunger and Santa Cruz CORE for the first ever Santa Cruz CORE 5k River Run. If you missed the sign-up for Wharf-to-Wharf you can still run this beautiful San Lorenzo River levy pathway and help out Grind Out Hunger at the same time. This public-private partnership will include the 1st Annual Family Health Expo and they are seeking sponsors and volunteers for both the River Run and the Expo.
Activities begin AT 9AM in the morning with the Santa Cruz CORE 5K RIVER RUN. The EXPO begins at 10am. A full schedule of activities for the family are planned for the day including food/drinks, face painting, a skate board ramp, live music, prizes, free demonstrations, massage, acupuncture, spinal screening, demonstrations, hula dancing, and local businesses showcasing their health products and services.
All race proceeds, raffle prize donations and raffle ticket sales will benefit GRIND OUT HUNGER.
This year Santa Cruz CORE Fitness and Rehab has teamed up with local hunger activists of Grind Out Hunger to present The Santa Cruz CORE 5k River Run. Last years raffle generated donations to provide 10,000 meals through Second Harvest. Help to make this years fund raiser an even greater success and have fun while doing it!
