Community Leadership Visit Membership Luncheon Creating an Innovation Culture
Innovation and entrepreneurship have become effective economic engines for Boulder and Fort Collins, Colorado. Research, invention, and commercialization of new products and services fuel Boulder’s reputation as the country’s most successful progressive community and Fort Collins ranking as the best the place to live, work, and start a business.
The Chamber’s 2013 Community Leadership Visit (CLV) took 53 Santa Cruz executives, elected representatives, educators, and public administrators to meet with government, university and private sector leaders in these communitie to learn how they have nurtured innovation.
Join the Chamber May 22 to hear brief presentations from nine of participants about what we saw and learned. Participants will then be invited to discuss the effects of key elements of the entrepreneurial environment on Santa Cruz County’s evolution as an “innovation culture.”
