The Santa Cruz Sentinel and the Santa Cruz Area Chamber of Commerce invite you to join us on the terrace at Chaminade to learn about Work4Youth, see a concert preview, and meet some of the people in charge of this summer work program for Santa Cruz youth. The event is an opportunity to hear performers from the Work4Youth concert event, Bravo!, and learn more about how employers and the community will benefit from this local effort to develop our youth into a world-class 21st century workforce. Come enjoy the spectacular view from the Chaminade terrace, plus: · Delicious food and beverages from Chaminade and local wineries and breweries · Talk with Workforce Investment Board principals and volunteers regarding hiring a Work4Youth employee this summer · Meet past employers and learn about their experiences with Work4Youth employees · Enjoy a concert preview by Bravo! performers · Buy tickets to the Work4Youth annual youth talent showcase, Bravo!, on April 13 Local wineries and breweries will be sharing tastes of their wines and beers, and Chaminade will be providing delicious hors d'oeuvres. Wineries pouring at the event incude Bargetto, Martin Ranch, Odonata Wines, Burrell School, Loma Prieta, Poetic Cellars, and Dancing Creek. Cedar Street Brewing Company will be pouring handcrafted draft beer. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

Through Work4Youth, Santa Cruz County Youth, ages 14 to 24, are provided with enriching and constructive summer work experiences through both subsidized and unsubsidized job placements.
