About Robert Dye Robert A. Dye Ph.D. is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at Comerica Bank. He leads the Comerica Economics Department, which provides research and analysis vital to Comerica and its customers, as well as business leaders and policy makers throughout the country.
Dye provides commentary and research on the U.S. economy and the economies of California, Texas, Arizona, Florida and Michigan – Comerica’s primary markets. He publishes a monthly U.S. economic update and quarterly regional economic updates targeting 10 key metropolitan statistical areas within Comerica’s footprint. His other regular publications include state-level economic indexes, Comerica’s Auto Affordability Index, daily economic alerts and the Comerica Economic Weekly. He joined Comerica in July 2011.
About Dennis Johnson Dennis A. Johnson, CFA is the Chief Investment Officer for Comerica Asset Management Group, the investment management division of Comerica, and the Co-Chair of the Comerica Investment Policy Committee. Mr. Johnson’s 32 years of investment experience includes positions as Managing Director for Shamrock Capital Advisors, Inc. the registered investment advisory firm of the Roy E. Disney family, Sr. Portfolio Manager-Global Equity for the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), Managing Director for Citigroup and Portfolio Manager for SunTrust Bank.
He received his Masters of Science in Finance from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelors of Art in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute. Mr. Johnson is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder, a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Detroit. He is also a member of the Detroit Economic Club and on the Detroit Public Television (DPTV) Board of Directors.
