Join us at the Women in Business community of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce quarterly networking luncheon featuring Deborah Allen, actress, educator, and screen writer of Jane, the movie.  Deborah will take us on a journey of from fear to enlightenment touching on:

About Deborah Allen
Deboarah Allen comes to her first feature film as an artist exploring her roots as a writer. She has her master’s degree in theater arts and spent many years in the San Francisco Bay Area theater community, as an actress and director. From 1984-88 she served as the Executive Director of Theater Bay Area. She’s worked with Trap Doors/Puertas Dissimuldas at Watsonville High School with the Bear Republic Theater and Teatro Campesino. She was an artist in residence at the National Theatre of Uganda and directed August Wilson’s Fences at the National Theatre. Deborah is an educator, training mid-life professionals with in-depth psychology, complementary medicine, and trauma education. Her writing has appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, Callboard Magazine, American Theater Magazine, Tikkun, and African Farmer. Deboarah is the screen writer Jane-the movie presently in development in Santa Cruz..

Survivors Healing Center
A Welcoming Place for Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse. Survivors Healing Center, a program of Family Service Agency, offers counseling and support to adult and youth survivors of childhood sexual abuse and their allies. We help survivors through a therapeutic healing process and work to prevent sexual abuse of children in our community through outreach and education.


How to take action:
Please bring any art supplies for their group therapy programs for teenage youth and adults to the luncheon.
