About Garfield Park Library
The Garfield Park Branch Library was the second Carnegie library built in Santa Cruz, after the downtown "Main" branch, and it opened in July 1915, with an assembly room, a large reading room, and a large fireplace. In April 1992 the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and on July 28, 1999, it was officially designated as a Landmark on the City Historic Building Survey.
About the Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries
The Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries, Inc., is a nonprofit organization whose members support the Santa Cruz City-County Library System through fund-raising, volunteer services and advocacy. The Friends of the Santa Cruz Public Libraries (FSCPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Santa Cruz Public Libraries (and the book mobile). Through FSCPL membership dues and donations, our members provide programs, services and media to all Santa Cruz Public Library branches. Thanks to your book donations and FSCPL volunteers, we also have a Friends Bookstore in the Central Library Branch and hold a giant Book Sale twice a year at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium.
Santa Cruz Chamber Networking Mixers are held on the last Wednesday of each month from 5 - 7 pm. Mixers are a great place to network in a social atmosphere, and hosting a mixer provides an opportunity for member businesses to showcase their locations, products, and services. If you are interested in hosting a mixer, please contact membership@santacruzchamber.org or call the Chamber at 831-457-3713.
