SIDEWALKS/PATHWAYS • Pathway between Park Way and La Fonda is now finished. • New sidewalks along Rooney Street will be finished before school starts (photo).
LA FONDA BRIDGE • Bridge closed for 6-8 months • Detour Route: north-western loop via Morrissey and Soquel • Avoid one-way Brookwood Way due to narrow one-way road and flood closure potential. NOTE: Increased enforcement and heavy fines for vehicles traveling the wrong way! • Alternate routes are limited. Please reduce auto travel as much as possible and allow additional travel time.
SLOW FOR THE CONE ZONE Speeds on the highway through the project area are reduced to 55 MPH, with traffic fines doubled in the construction zone. Please drive safely, use the zipper method to merge, exercise caution in construction and school zones, and allow extra travel time. Adjacent residents should expect noise and dust associated with the construction activity.
