Join us for a networking mixer Wednesday, October 27 hosted by Community Connection, 300 Harvey West Blvd, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Wine, soft drinks, light appetizers will be served. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.
Community Connection is a program of The Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County. Community Connection “assists and supports adults with psychiatric disabilities and their families in achieving greater independence and competence as members of the community”. Eligible participants have access to 9 adult programs and 2 family programs located in Santa Cruz, Watsonville and the Cabrillo College Campus. Through the variety of these programs we provide employment, education, volunteerism, community integration and peer support services. These services give participants the opportunity to maintain their wellness and become production members of their community.
Employment is a powerful tool in mental health recovery. Work, works! Career Services program participants are eager to find employment in their communities. Our program has an exceptional pool of qualified applicants that are suited for your business. They are capable, skilled and qualified. We work closely with individuals to ensure that they are ready for re-entry into the workforce. We prescreen and match only the right employees with the appropriate employer. When placed, we continue to provide intensive on and off site job coaching and support. We continuously strive to meet your needs.
The Santa Cruz Chamber provides opportunities to meet people, make contacts, exchange ideas and interact with others. After all, business often involves who you know, not just what you know. That's why it's our job to make sure you know people who can help your company grow.
Santa Cruz Chamber Networking Mixers are held on the last Wed of each month from 5 - 7 pm. If you are interested in hosting a mixer, please contact Annette at 831.457.3720
