On Saturday, July 21st, the Santa Cruz Derby Girls' Boardwalk Bombshells will take on Tucson Roller Derby at the Civic Auditorium. Santa Cruz has battled with Tuscon's experienced team in seasons past, so look forward to some hard hits and fast skating. You will also get a glimpse of the future of our league when SCDG's junior full-contact derby team, the Gromshells, take the track for a pre-game exhibition bout versus San Fernando Valley Junior Derby. The bout theme is '70s so start planning your grooviest outfit! Doors open at 5:45 pm, Groms play at 6:30 pm, and Bombshells play at 7:00 pm. A portion of the night's proceeds will benefit the featured non-profit, the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz.
