What’s Ahead for Santa Cruz Business?

Understanding what leaders and managers in our business community believe about business prospects is important guidance for businesses throughout the community. Comparing the strategies that they (we) intend to implement to respond to changing conditions will also provide us direction and confidence. And, the process of considering questions about what you believe will happen to business in the next 18 months and what you intend to do about it is both a valuable planning exercise and an opportunity to clarify and reinforce your own business strategies.

 The Chamber has prepared a survey building upon last winter’s poll of the 2009 Santa Cruz business experience. However, this survey turns to the future, asking what you believe will happen and how you expect to respond. We’ve prepared questions that ask about your view of the business environment and measures that you might undertake. The consolidated responses will describe:

We’ll analyze the responses and present them at the membership luncheon on July 20. We’ll also invite five industry-group leaders to give brief presentations of their vision for the next 18 months at the luncheon. For those who cannot attend, we’ll post the survey results on the Chamber Website.
