Building Relationships by Understanding Styles & Motivation

Whether self-employed or employed by a multi-national corporation, our ability to understand what makes yourself and others "tick” likely defines our success.  From sales and management to work teams and vendor relationships, our capacity to work productively with others is the single most important key to achieving objectives.  Relying on intuition alone for this understanding is often insufficient.  The most accomplished business people use a model to help them assess the styles, motivations, and needs of the people they work with to create the most effective relationships possible.

Learn a model built on decades of research, development and success in Work In Progress Coaching’s:

Building Relationships by Understanding Styles & Motivations

The goal of this workshop is to increase your capacity to work effectively with others and stay true to yourself in the process.  We’ll focus on understanding 2 key aspects of performance: how we like to get work done and what motivates us.  You’ll come away with new insights about yourself and others, plus practical ways to immediately implement what you’ve learned and see results.

In this workshop, you will …

•Learn characteristics, strengths, and potential flags of 4 styles and 7 ambitions
•Learn questions to ask others which explore and reveal, not pre-judge, preferences
•Learn strategies for effectively working with people having different preferences
•Identify your preferred styles and ambitions, thus building your strengths
•Explore areas of potential stress and strategies for reducing it

Benefits

•More trusting, productive relationships with peers, customers, business partners
•Better communication, fewer misunderstandings
•Focused developmental efforts for maximum growth
•Informed role and career choices

Bring a colleague: When people have a shared understanding and language, performance is accelerated. This data can be used to increase teamwork on an existing team, configure a team for a new project, and resolve misunderstandings as people refer to Performance Style and Ambitions differences, rather than personal attacks or ungrounded assumptions.

Workshop participants

•Complete an online survey prior to workshop
•Receive a confidential report of their results in an easy-to-read format with graphical displays; report outlines optimal work and learning environment, plus tips and traps regarding communicating, managing and motivating.
•Receive resources to continue mining the data for gold after the workshop.

This workshop is limited to 24 enrollments. Cost is $279 for the 2 half day workshops. Workshops are on Tuesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 24 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am.
