Santa Cruz, CA - On Saturday, February 18th, the Santa Cruz Derby Girls will face off against each other at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium in the opening bout of SCDG's 2012 Season. Have you ever wanted to see Candie Hooligan line up on the jam line versus Pippi Hardsocking, or Shamrock N. Roller block against Foxee Firestorm? February 18th will be a special chance for fans to see their favorite Santa Cruz Derby Girls go head to head and get a sneak peek into Santa Cruz's newest up and comers as they take the track alongside SCDG veterans. The teams will be split Black vs. White so come in YOUR black and/or white to support your Santa Cruz Derby Girls! The doors to Santa Cruz Derby Girls Stadium (Civic Auditorium) will open at 5:45 pm and the bout will start at 6:30 pm.

A portion of the night's proceeds will benefit our featured non-profit, Camp Opportunity, a residential camp for children at risk of abuse or neglect, located right here in Santa Cruz. Many of the campers currently live or have lived in foster care, and all come from families facing serious issues and benefit from the acceptance and guidance of this unique camp.
