Kim Walesh, Chief Strategist for the City of San Jose, will speak on the Changing Forces Defining Our Future at the Chamber’s Annual Luncheon Meeting, January 19 at the Cocoanut Grove. Many elements of the evolving economy favor Santa Cruz – the importance of workforce talent, access to higher-education excellence, and an environment attractive to a new generation of workers. But other aspects of Santa Cruz, our region, and our state make us vulnerable.
Kim is a national recognized speaker and author. Prior to joining the City of San Jose Kim was a co-founder and managing director of Collaborative Economics, a Silicon Valley consulting group working with local and regional government and communities to improve economic vitality and quality of life.
The Annual Luncheon will also include the introduction of the Chamber’s board and officers, acknowledgment of retiring board members, appreciation of sponsors and volunteers, and a report on the state of the Chamber.
Join us January 19 from 11:45 to 1:30 at the Cocoanut Grove. Reservations requested not later than noon, Thursday January 14.
