Event Santa Cruz

Event Santa Cruz is a platform dedicated to celebrating and amplifying the creative spirit of Santa Cruz County.Founded in 2013, it began as a monthly lightning-talk series spotlighting local entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, and community leaders. Over the years, it has evolved into a multifaceted organization that not only hosts dynamic events but also produces multimedia content to showcase the region's innovation and entrepreneurship.​ In 2015, Event Santa Cruz took over The NEXTies awards, honoring individuals who make significant contributions to the community. The organization also curates themed events like the West End Celebration and the Midtown Fridays Summer Block Party, fostering connections among locals and visitors alike. Beyond live events, Event Santa Cruz engages the community through social media, newsletters, video interviews, and collaborations with local businesses. Its mission is to create, connect, and inspire by highlighting the stories that make Santa Cruz unique.
