Mayor Keeley will reflect on key City priorities, including housing, homelessness, and fiscal stability, and share updates on how the City is aligning its work with the community’s strategic goals. ONSITE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED - ONSITE REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE

The Santa Cruz Hostel Society is thrilled to celebrate the completion of renovations made possible by the Explore the Coast Overnight grant from the California State Coastal Conservancy. The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:45 PM, highlighting the beautifully restored rose garden, the addition of our new ADA-accessible Cyclery Cottage, and the expansion of our capacity to host up to 51 guests in dorms, private rooms, and private cottages.

Guests will be invited to explore the garden and enjoy guided tours of newly renovated spaces. Our small museum, dedicated to the history of the Carmelita Cottages, will also be open for visitors to learn more about the rich past of this special property.

Light refreshments will be available to enjoy as we gather to celebrate this milestone together. Free street parking is available on Main and 3rd, with no permit required until May 15th.

We look forward to welcoming the community and appreciate the Chamber’s support in sharing this exciting moment!

Fairways for Kids is an annual Golf Tournament taking place on May 9th at Seascape Golf Course. The day includes lunch. 18 holes of golf, on-course contests, dinner, and a live auction. This event, organized by the Friends of Hospice, raises funds to support Hospice of Santa Cruz County's Youth Grief Support Program, including Camp Erin, an overnight camp for grieving youth. On Wednesday, May 28, KSBW will host Feeding Families on the Central Coast, a special community food drive and telethon to support families facing food insecurity. In partnership with the Food Bank for Monterey County, Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County, and Community Food Bank of San Benito, the event raises funds to help meet the growing need. Central Coast food banks serve thousands of families each week.
