What separates a good team from a great one, and how do leaders create the conditions for high performance? In this interactive session, we’ll explore the key drivers of team effectiveness, from psychological safety to accountability and aligned incentives plans. Through real-world examples and a dynamic table activity, participants will reflect on their own team environments and leave with actionable strategies to elevate performance, foster trust, and lead with clarity in complex settings.

Speaker: Julia Greenspan, Consultant, Executive Coach, Co-Founder, Ignite Nexus

Julia believes in transparency, trust and building bridges. In her 25 years experience in the healthcare space she has had to navigate a variety of positions, from being in the trenches of surgery as a trauma scrub, to the Director of Sales Operation at an innovative medical device company. Throughout her career she has experienced the relationship between trust and leadership. This experience inspired her to be certified as an executive coach through the Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute at UC Berkeley, and continue her education by getting her MBA (STEM) with a focus on Organizational Leadership from UC Davis. She continues to stay involved as a medical mission scrub in the operating room with her volunteer work in South America, in collaboration with Operation Rainbow.

Each week, the Veterans Memorial Building shifts into full service mode to support local Veterans with direct, boots-on-the-ground services. The purpose of the day is simple: give Veterans a one-stop, low-barrier place to get the help they need, face-to-face.

Every Wednesday, Veterans can access a coordinated lineup of services delivered by trusted partners.

A delicious hot lunch and access to the food pantry.
The VA Medical Outreach team is on site seeing Veterans for acute medical services and referrals (no primary or urgent/emergency care).
HUDVASH and housing representatives are available for homeless and housing insecure Veterans
The Veteran Service Office is available for walk-in services and their representatives do outreach.
Employemnt services are available.
Education services are available.
Great opportunity for community, connection, and camaraderie.
Other services are available

Staff and volunteers maintain a steady operational flow, ensuring every Veteran who walks through the door is welcomed and connected to the right support channel.
