The United Way of Santa Cruz County is Igniting their Annual Campaign season on Tuesday October 23 at the Museum of Art History in Santa Cruz from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Ignite brings together community leaders, elected officials, non-profit organizations, and businesses to celebrate and kick-off United Way’s annual campaign season that takes place from September – November throughout Santa Cruz County. Over 100 local businesses participate in the workplace campaign, raising funds to support the United Way’s work to improve the overall well-being of youth through community connectedness, college & career readiness, financial stability, and health. This year, United Way will share their new focus on youth well-being, featuring stories, music and delicious food prepared by local youth. “This is a special event, and will ignite our community to join us in securing $700,000 for our local children and youth this campaign season,” says CEO Keisha Frost. Ignite is sponsored by Santa Cruz County Bank and Bay Federal Credit Union. The 2018 United Way Campaign Co-Chairs are Chris Maffia, Vice President and Relationship Manger at Santa Cruz County Bank and Patty Winters, Vice President of Human Resources at Bay Federal Credit Union.
