Opportunity Knocks on Veterans Job Fair Santa Cruz, California – March 2017 The Veterans Board of Trustees, United Veterans Council and the Veterans Services Office is proud to team up with Employment Development Department (Santa Cruz Office), Workforce Santa Cruz County and Vets4Vets (a non-profit organization) on its first Veterans Job Fair. It will be held April 6th from 1pm-4pm at the Veterans Memorial Building. It is open to all Veterans and friends and family members of Veterans. There will be 20 employers ready and willing to hire the right person for the job. They are thrilled to have the Veterans Job Fair in their own Veterans Memorial Building with all the necessary tools for success. They will be having a resume work shop on March 28th starting at 1pm at the Veterans Memorial Building. It is free and will be held by a professional who understands how to translate a DD-214 to civilian work experience. There will be a follow up for all who attend the resume workshop on April 4th from 2pm-4pm at the Veterans Memorial Building. There will also be a mock interview on April 5th at the Veterans Memorial Building designed to help improve interview presentations. The Veterans Job Fair has been in the works for months and they are happy to say it is coming together nicely. They want the Veterans and the Santa Cruz County Community to know that they do this out of the love for those who served and the wonderful community members of Santa Cruz County. They want the community to come and take advantage of the great employers they have pulled together.
