In partnership with the Santa Cruz County Office of Economic Development, American Express, El Parajo CDC and the local Chambers of Commerce, The SBDC is offering “Your Facebook Page for Small Business Saturday” seminars in 3 different locations throughout the county. Spanish language translation will be available at the Watsonville seminar. Come and learn the simple steps to setting up a Facebook page for your small business. Class Description For communities to thrive, small businesses need to thrive! Be part of the national movement to promote small, independently owned business to increase holiday sales by joining Small Business Saturday. Come learn how to best utilize social media in furthering your business interests. It only costs $10! The seminar will be repeated throughout the county and the third seminar will feature a site review by Dianthe Skurko-Harris, a nationally recognized expert in social media for small business. Bring your laptop if you need some hands on help with your page. Each participating business will be required to have a Facebook page to advertise their participation in Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Founded by American Express in 2010, this day is celebrated each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It encourages small business owners to take charge of the day, by helping them promote their businesses with free personalized ads, which appear millions of times across the web.
