MEDIA RELEASE July 5, 2016 The Santa Cruz County Office of Education has announced that Faris Sabbah is the Deputy Superintendent for the agency. Sabbah begins his new assignment on August 1. Sabbah spent more than 24 years in education - in teaching high school studies, and in both site level and district level administration. For the past 14 years, he worked as Regional Director of the Migrant Education Program of the Pajaro Valley Unified School District. For the past 2 years, Sabbah served as the Assistant Superintendent of Student Services for the Monterey County Office of Education. Sabbah holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from UC Berkeley, a Masters of Arts in School Administration from San Jose State, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz.
