CONTACT: Barbara Gorson 831-464-6717 CAPITOLA LIBRARY INVITES THE COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE 16 YEARS OF SERVICE Library Branch Supporters Plan Sixteenth Birthday Party to Celebrate Capitola Library Milestone March 14, 2016—SANTA CRUZ, CA—The Santa Cruz Public Library System (SCPL), a network of 10 neighborhood library branches throughout Santa Cruz County and a group of Capitola library supporters today announced a party on March 26th honoring the Capitola Library’s past 16 years of service and celebrating the future of the proposed new branch. At the celebration, visitors will be able to view the design plans for the new library and have an opportunity to join the newly formed Friends of the Capitola Library Chapter. Entertainment will include live music, face painting, Tales to Tails sessions, Pinky the 3D Printer, a Book Bunny appearance, and a “Color Your New Library” activity. Birthday cake will be provided by Gayle’s Bakery. Capitola Library 16th Birthday Party Saturday March 26, 2016 12:00pm – 2:00pm 2005 Wharf Rd., Capitola The Capitola Library is a hub of activity, according to Branch Supporter Barbara Gorson, who says “people of all ages visit the Capitola library to use computers, read to Tales to Tails dogs, or stop in to talk about a book they just read.
